"Improving our welcome through understanding": this is the objective set by the Lyon metropolitan area and ONLYLYON Tourism and Conventions, which commissioned this extensive survey on the profile of tourists in Lyon. Conducted between October 2023 and September 2024 twelve years after the previous one, this long-term survey carried out among 5,000 people paints an accurate picture of the tourists who tread the streets of Lyon.
The survey provides a range of indicators, including age, nationality, length of stay and choice of destination, designed to help tourism professionals understand their clientele in order to improve their welcome.
