With more than 200 meeting spaces, including 4 major venues, the Lyon urban area has the second largest capacity in France for the hosting of events, which places it among the biggest convention destinations in France.
Eurexpo
With a surface area of 140,000 m² and a large-scale infrastructure, Eurexpo Lyon is France's number-one exhibition centre after Paris. It is ranked one of Europe's top 14 exhibition centres (EMECA* ranking).
In 2017, the site welcomed 1.5 million visitors.
A "limitless" space for expos and large-scale events
Its seven connected halls offer a continuous space ranging from 2,000 to 27,000 m² , to accommodate exhibitions of all sizes. With three separate entrances and dedicated parking areas, the centre can host several events at the same time.
The site offers three spaces for large-scale events:
- Espace Paul Bocuse, an area of 10 000 m² with an auditorium that seats 1,500 to 4,000 people, making it suitable for conferences and large business conventions.
- Espace Confluence, a real convention centre of 7,000 m².
- Espace Saint-Exupéry, an area of 12,000 m² pillar-less and a maximum useful height of 15 metres, making it perfect for sporting events, concerts and meetings.
Ideally located
Eurexpo Lyon is ideally located between the city centre and Lyon-Saint Exupéry International Airport, just 20 minutes away from high-speed TGV rail links, and with 2,200 hotel rooms of all categories within a five-mile radius..
A real alternative to Paris
Eurexpo is continually evolving. Following the opening of Paul Bocuse Hall in 2011, and Hall 2.1 in 2015, a new extension of nearly 10,000 m² opened in October 2018: Hall 7. Part of the centre's development plan, these extensions enable Eurexpo to keep up with the growth of its top expos, as well as to host new ones in busy periods. The chosen venue for a large number of expos that hold their national editions in Lyon, Eurexpo Lyon offers nowadays a real alternative to Paris.

Lyon Convention Centre
With its bold design by Renzo Piano at the heart
of the Cité Internationale, its advanced equipment and pleasant surroundings, on the edge of the Parc de la Tête d'Or, the Lyon Convention Centre rivals the top international conference venues. The site has an amphitheatre like no other in Europe, whose semicircular seating around the stage and the
access to it are based on Gallo-Roman theatre design.
This prestigious event complex right at the heart of the city centre hosts more than 300 events each year, including major international conventions.
24 000 m² of adaptable space The Lyon Convention Centre has 24,000 m² of adaptable space, split between three lecture theatres (seating 300, 900 and 3,000) and 35 equipped meeting rooms, so that it can accommodate anywhere from 50 to 19,000 people.
These areas are independent and specially designed for conferences, seminars, conventions, expos, high-profile events, gala dinners and concerts.
