Le Grand Réfectoire
3 cour Saint-Henri Grand Hôtel-Dieu - 69002 Lyon 2ème
The ambitious Grand Hôtel Dieu renovation project keeps offering up more treasures. Three passionate locals (Mathieu Cochard, Thibault Salvat and Marc Bonneton), along with Emmanuel Sailer, have just opened the Grand Réfectoire (with capacity for 350 diners, including 150 on the terrace), on the site of the refectory that served the nuns of the former hospital.
This stylish brasserie beautifully combines the building’s heritage with a contemporary interior (designed by the architects Franck Vella, of the firm HTVS, and Damien Carreres). The bistronomic food is masterfully prepared by Marcel Ravin, the Michelin-starred chef from Monaco. The cuisine is directly inspired by Lyon’s terroir and features influences from around the world.
TERRACE
Le Grand Réfectoire can be hired privately for your events. Make the magnificent terrace, with its view of the grand dome, yours for the evening. It offers capacity for up to 400 guests in a distinguished summer atmosphere.
WINE CELLAR
For a more intimate celebration, rather than the wonderful "garden party" atmosphere of the terrace, you can hire our wine cellar to lend a touch of authenticity and cosiness to your seminars, meetings, product presentations and various events. Make the most of the iconic Grand Réfectoire's primary vocation by holding wine tastings for your friends, partners or clients, with various formats for up to 80 guests.
A natural extension of this superb restaurant, the bar L’Officine (with capacity for 120 people), welcomes curious food lovers with an appreciation for the art of mixology from 5 pm to 1 am. Marc Bonneton and David Capdeville have created six refined cocktails for this exceptional establishment, which can be enjoyed with a range of equally refined snacks.
Added plus: the 80 m² vaulted cellar can be privately hired for events
Team-building: spirits tasting session
